Regional Transmission Group (RTG)

The term 'Regional Transmission Group (RTG)' as it applies to the area of reclamation can be defined as ' A voluntary organization of transmission owners, transmission users, and other entities interested in coordinating transmission planning, expansion, operation, and use within a region. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is encouraging the formation of these voluntary associations to resolve technical transmission and pricing issues. Procedures developed by the groups would be subject to FERC approval'.
